Help us keep our fire hydrants clear. When fire hydrants are not accessible because of snow and other vegetation, fire crews are unable to access the hydrants quickly. This can cause crews to lose precious seconds from connecting to the hydrant. This delay may make a difference in your emergency.
Our Fire Department encounters blocked or inaccessible hydrants all throughout the year. Our neighbors, community, and Fire Departments depend on volunteers like you to help keep our homes and business safe.
When clearing snow or vegetation, please clear 3 feet all away around the hydrant. Also, we ask you to clear a 3 feet path from the street to the hydrant.
